It is finished...

Today we wrapped up the summer programs at Graffiti 2. This week we did basketball and cheerleading camp in the morning and dance in the afternoon. We had a really good turn out this week, which was expected. Today we filled up completely and had 102 kids. We had to go buy more basketballs so we could let some kids in who had been there all week, but showed up late.

This afternoon we worked on our dance performance and then headed over to the park to have our "dress rehearsal". It started to rain while we were out there, so we went back to Graffiti 2 until the rain stopped. It stopped right in time for the block party to start, which was great. I would have been really sad if it got rained out for the second year in a row. Especially since we had this production to put on. It was a hectic afternoon, but I survived and the block party was a huge success. We had a basketball juggler perform and present the Gospel and had around 8 kids respond.

I have video and pictures that I hope to put up soon! Tomorrow we are going to Graffiti 2 to clean up and organize and I will be leaving on Sunday. Today was the first day that I have been really excited about going home. I think I am finally ready for a break and some sleep, and I am of course looking forward to seeing people!
